The
clinical director of Manchester Therapy Centre is Elizabeth Yeates who
qualified from Manchester Royal Infirmary in 1984. She has worked widely
in the NHS before opening a private practice in 1987. She has a particular
interest in physiotherapy for musculo skeletal problems and acupuncture
and has access to the latest research and evidence based treatments. In
2003 she gained an MSc in Veterinary physiotherapy from the Royal Veterinary
College in London and now also treats dogs and horses at the owner’s
home, stable or vet’s surgery. She is a Category A member of the
Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy.
You can refer yourself to the clinic or MTC can accept referrals from
your doctor or surgeon. Your physiotherapist will keep your medical practitioner
informed of your progress unless you instruct otherwise.
Fees are payable at the end of each appointment. 100% of the fee will
be charged if you do not attend for your appointment or cancel with less
than 24 hours notice.
MTC will invoice your insurance company direct if necessary. MTC is registered
with BUPA, AXA PPP, Norwich Union, Forrester Health and all major medical
insurance companies.
Special terms can be negotiated for sports clubs and companies.

Therapy Centre is located at
St Andrews Medical Centre, Russell Street, in the centre of Eccles.
It is easily accessible from Manchester city centre and surrounding districts
such as Bury, Urmston, Prestwich,
Irlam, Swinton, Worsley and by main bus routes, train and tram, and the
North West motorway network via the M602 (junction 2).
There is a large free car park behind the clinic. The ground floor clinic
has full disabled access and facilities.
MTC also offers home visits for patients who are unable to attend the
clinic.
